Tournament Rules:

·        Rosters

o   Any player participating in this tournament MUST be listed on the final roster submitted to the league for the level at which he/she is playing.

·        Game Duration

o   All games on Saturday are 6-minute quarters (shorter than our 8-minute quarters during the season).  The championship games on Sunday are 8-minute quarters.

o   Halftime is 5 minutes both days.  Two minutes between quarters both days.

·        Tie Games

o   Tie games continue with three-minute overtime periods until the tie is broken by sudden victory. 

o   One timeout is allowed per team per overtime period.

·        Home Team

o   Highest seeded team in bracket is home team.  Home team is responsible for ensuring there is no conflict in jersey color and is responsible to make the change if there is.

·        SMYLA Rules Govern this tournament, and here are a few reminders:

o   The 5-goal differential applies, including the start of a quarter but not during a penalty infraction against the trailing team

o   No one-handed stick checks

o   At all levels, twenty seconds to clear the ball over the midfield line.

o   At the midget and junior levels only, ten seconds to enter the offensive box

o   No more than four coaches in the box
